1950 – Family moved to Dorset

1963 – Began work at a documentary film company as a general assistant.

1965 – Moved to Edinburgh. Worked for Films of Scotland and worked as Film Administrator for the Edinburgh Film Festival of that year.

1966 – Moved to London. Employed by Dateline Productions, a post-production service run by John and Marlene Fletcher who were members of the Free Cinema movement. The company serviced outside BBC productions, Documentaries and feature films including ‘Morgan, A Suitable Case for Treatment’ directed by Karel Reisz, ‘The White Bus’ directed by Lindsay Anderson and ‘If….’ also directed by Lindsay Anderson.

1968 – Assistant film editor to Tom Priestley on ‘Leo the Last’ directed by John Boorman.

1969 – Took ‘A’ level Art at Bournemouth and Poole College of Art.

1970 – Assistant to Tom Priestley on ‘Deliverance’ directed by John Boorman.

1971 – Assistant to Tom Priestley on ‘Alpha Beta’ directed by Anthony Page and ‘O Lucky Man’ directed by Lindsay Anderson.

1972 – Assistant to Tom Priestley on ‘The Great Gatsby’ directed by Jack Clayton.

1973 – Employed by Ridley Scott Associates editing television commercials for Ridley and Tony Scott and Hugh Hudson.

1974 – Worked for Hugh Hudson editing commercials and documentaries.

1977 – Married.

1978 – Son born.

1981/84 – Byam Shaw School of Art.

1985 – Moved to Devon.

1991/2 – Adapted ‘Far Away and Long Ago’ by W.H.Hudson for the screen.

1993 – Commissioned to write screenplay based on the life of Deitrich Bonhoeffer. Script editing on a screenplay based on ‘Homage to Catalonia’ by George Orwell.

1994 – Began writing poetry.

1995 – Commissioned to write original screenplay about mysterious events taking place around a small village in France since the 11th Century.

1996 – Began Creative Writing M.A., specialising in contemporary poetry, at Plymouth University. Wrote 30 minute screenplay for Hat Trick Productions.

1998 – Moved back to London. Divorced. Found studio and started drawing.

2000 – Short listed for a London Poetry competition.

2001 – Moved to Dorset. Began work on a series of 42 drawings in pen, ink and pencil.

2003 – Invited to participate in the Art Loan Exhibition at Bournemouth University.

2004 – Exhibition with Brian Graham and Chris Carter at Maltby Contemporary Art, Winchester. Solo exhibition at the Atrium Gallery, Bournemouth University.

2005 – Participant in the Art Loan Exhibition at Bournemouth University. Exhibit work in Christmas mixed exhibition with Bend In The River, Gainsborough, Lincs.

2006 – Exhibit with Richard Devereux at the Atrium Gallery, Bournemouth University. Group show at Lacerta, Dorset with Brian Graham, Richard Devereux and Simon Lewty.

2007 – Group show at Lacerta, Dorset with Brian Graham, Richard Devereux and Simon Lewty.

2008 – London Art Fair with Bend in the River. Bournemouth University Art Loan Exhibition. Invited by Simon Lewty to be his guest artist in a mixed show at Art First, Cork Street, London. Exhibit 42 drawings in solo exhibition at X-Church, Bend in the River.

2009 – London Art Fair with Bend In The River. Joint exhibition with Simon Lewty at The Art Stable, Child Okeford, Dorset.

2010 – Solo exhibition at Murray Edwards College (New Hall), Cambridge University and a solo exhibition, running concurrently with the Cambridge show, at Bend In The River, Gainsborough, Lincs.

2012 – Moved to Devon. Group show at Bend In The River.

2013 – Group show at Art First, London.

2014 – Solo exhibition at the Hospital Club. London.

2016 – Solo exhibition at White Moose, Barnstaple, Devon.

2017 – ‘Fault Lines’ Group exhibition at the Patriothall, Edinburgh.

2018 – Exhibited at the London Art Fair with The Drawing Works. Began work on ‘A Film Portrait of Richard Demarco’.

2019 – Exhibited at the London Art Fair with The Drawing Works. Completed ‘A Film Portrait of Richard Demarco’.
